  • 5g shea butter
  • 3g emulsifying wax (such as beeswax or vegetable-based emulsifying wax)
  • 2g Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate (SSL)
  • 1g preservative (such as Optiphen or Germaben II)
  • 1g vitamin E oil
  • Optional: Essential oils for fragrance (lavender, chamomile, or your choice)
Steps:
  1. In a heat-resistant container, combine the distilled water and vegetable glycerin. Using a double boiler, heat gently until warm.
  2. In a separate double boiler, combine the sweet almond oil, shea butter, and emulsifying wax. Heat gently until melted.
  3. Once both phases are heated, slowly pour the water phase into the oil phase while stirring continuously. This will create an emulsion.
